A traditionally popular design, flowers on cakes are always a great choice. We use flowers a number of ways, ranging on designs for birthday cakes to baby showers and wedding cakes. One of Isa's Cake favorite ways to incorporate flowers on a cake are natural flowers. A simply frosted cake adorned with natural roses, carnations, sunflowers, orchids, gerber daises, among many. While many clients love the look of natural flowers on their cake, others prefer the delicate art that is a sugar flower. Our cake artist, Isa, is trained in making intricate flowers, creating petal by petal out of gumpaste and assembling carefully. This is a process that normally takes several days, from cutting and molding petals to final assembly and painting. Another easy and popular way to create sugar flowers is simply using buttercream, there's many ways to utilize piping tips to create lovely flowers our of buttercream, sometimes created ahead of time, sometimes piped right onto the cake! Take a look at our galleries below and tell us which are your favorite! All photos pictured have been made by our team and are previous Isa's Cake designs!
